In this guide, we will look at the entire process in detail: from searching for the necessary files to the final boot of the system. We will look at working with the utility Odin, which is the de facto standard for servicing devices of the South Korean brand. Using virtual machines or emulators on other platforms often leads to unstable operation of USB ports and a loss of connection at the critical moment of data recording. The first step will be to install drivers, without which the computer simply will not “see” the phone in a special mode.

This means that you are trying to install a firmware with a lower bootloader or system version than what is already installed on the phone. Samsung is implementing Anti-Rollback protection to prevent the installation of vulnerable older versions of software. There is no solution to this problem except to find and flash a newer firmware version.
Another common problem is that the Odin app sees the device, but does not start flashing the firmware, giving a connection error or simply freezing. In this case, try replacing the USB cable with an original or high-quality analogue with a short wire. Long and cheap cables often do not provide enough current to transfer large amounts of data reliably. Connecting to a USB 2.0 port (black connector) instead of USB 3.0 (blue connector) will also help, since Odin drivers sometimes conflict with USB 3.0 controllers on some motherboards.
