Before taking active steps, you need to understand that flashing is a deep operation with the system memory section. It doesn't just update the interface, it completely rewrites the Android file structure. For models Tecno Spark, Camon or Pova the approach is almost identical, since they are all based on MediaTek chips.
You should not be afraid of this procedure if you strictly follow the instructions. Modern tools automate much of the process, minimizing the risk of human error. The main thing is to prepare everything you need in advance and not interrupt the cable connection at a critical moment.
Preparation of equipment and software
The success of the operation depends 90% on the quality of preparation. You will need a computer running Windows, since the main utilities for working with chips MediaTek are optimized specifically for this OS. A working USB cable is also critically important, preferably original or certified, capable of transferring data, and not just charging the battery.

The main tool for flashing is the utility SP Flash Tool (Smart Phone Flash Tool). After unpacking the archive with the app, run the file flash_tool.exe as administrator. The app interface may seem complicated, but for basic firmware you only need a few tabs.

Another common situation is an endless reboot (bootloop) after flashing. This often happens if the user data format has not been made. In this case, you need to enter Recovery mode (press Volume+ and Power) and execute item Wipe Data/Factory Reset.
Sometimes the computer simply does not see the phone. In this case, the "Test Point" method will help. It involves disassembling the smartphone and closing two specific contacts on the board with a screwdriver when connecting the cable. This forces the chip to go into emergency boot mode, ignoring the protected bootloader.

If the IMEI is displayed as Null or 000000, it means that the NVRAM partition was not saved or was overwritten incorrectly. IMEI restoration is a complex procedure and requires the use of the engineering menu or special utilities like Maui Meta, which goes beyond simple flashing.
Set up a Google account and check the operation of the communication modules. Make a test call and check the Wi-Fi. If everything works stably, you can restore the backup copy of your contacts and photos. The system is ready for full operation.
Is it possible to reflash Tecno without a computer?
Officially - no. For a complete flashing (especially in case of failures) you need a PC and SP Flash Tool. Updating "over the air" is only possible if the phone turns on and sees the update servers.
Will the firmware delete my photos and contacts?
